Bike gear is overwhelmingly black. While black is sexy, it is hard to see at times. I’m excited to see Afterglow, the magnetic reflector from Portland Reflector. It seems that this can easily connect to bags, jackets, panniers, etc. for better visibility on the road.

Women’s cycling has evolved over the past decade from the product offerings, races, and available resources for women to truly embrace the sport.

Over the past 10 years, I have been working tirelessly to help empower women in cycling under the name “Bike Shop Girl.” When I started the community 10 years ago, it was just me working in a bike shop and providing answers to the questions I heard every day from women’s cycling shorts, how to get riding with a group, to product reviews and the latest news. Since starting the site I have grown as a person, no longer work in a bike shop, and have realized that the women’s cycling movement is bigger than one person. With that – I introduce you to Women’s Cycling.

Growing the Women’s Cycling Community with You

These pages of Women’s Cycling will be created by people just like you. If you want to get involved start with submitting an article or news. Tell us about your favorite ride, a new product you spotted or ask us a question to be answered by one of our in-house experts.

Our ultimate goal is to help you bike more and worry less. Join us.
